has anyone had any trouble with the RTC infinitely resetting to 00:00:80? It's not just on startup, because my function to keep track of time based on the RTC is no longer working (and just was two hours ago)

Quick question, for those of you who are using the 12 V adaptor to power up your devbugger, has any of you encountered the problem when sometimes you switch off the power and turn it back on the LCD turns on but doesn't display anything? But if you unplug and plug the cable it will show something again...

kk serious question, no jokes.
how do you find elapsed time? either with timers or RTC?

thanks!!

When I tried to run the sample ADC code, the board seems to have problems. I connected RA0 with a proximity sensor which gives an output ~1.88V. RD0 the debugger LED) should blink with the speed corresponding the voltage as explained by the sample code. It seems to work fine sometimes, however, the debugger LED for RD0 is just off sometimes. Sometimes when I do random stuff such as touching somewhere along the wires, or resetting, or turning the power on…

I have absolutely no idea what's going on but maybe one of you smarties would be super nice to give me a hint

So my RTC code just stopped working. I've loaded code that worked a week ago and nothing - it gets hung on the macro which checks for the bus being free (i2c_common_stop). Anyone have ideas on solutions?

Hey guys, I recently updated my mac and i don't know if there is anything related, but i can't put the code into my board anymore. Sometimes I can't click on the "make and program" bottom. When I do, I doesn't seem to detect any board connected to my computer.. You guys know any possible fix for this problem?

I've asked this before, but what method are you using for powering the microcontroller? Using multi-outlet extension cord will be one way, but then that takes up space and weight. I tried using Vcc to power, but it doesn't really work. Did someone tried removing the adapter part of the ac adapter and connect it directly to the 12V on the power source and it works?
