My device driver was installed, but when I tried to compile, a message says PICkit2 not found, can anyone help me with this? Thank you!

I seem to be having the same problem... are u using windows 8 or 8.1 also? Looks like it's a known problem with mplab x... and basically if the dot next to the device is yellow, yo ucan only program the device wiht a standalone app, not mplabx.

i just reinstalled MPLAB and it started working!
