Easy Braided Friendship Bracelet with Letter Beads. This friendship bracelet pattern braids three colors of embroidery thread. Alphabet letters and beads are added in the middle of the bracelet and it is fastened with a simple knot loop and button. Projects with Kids. Cut three cords of different colors, each 45" long. Fold the cords in half to form a loop. Then, gather all six cords and make a knot about half an inch from the top. Clip the cords in place on a clipboard and then sort them so that the three cords on the left mirror the three cords on the right. Step 1: Preparation. Choose the colours of thread you would like to use. The embroidery thread, or floss, will come tightly wrapped. Unwind the thread and wrap it neatly around a plastic or cardboard bobbin for future use. Store the bobbins in a plastic box with compartments. 3.
